Germain and I went back to the States to celebrate the wedding of one of my very dear friends, Valerie to Kevin. Though the weather would not cooperate for what was initially planned (a beach wedding)... it could not have been more beautiful. Valerie's father officiated the ceremony- and proved how well he knew his daughter and new son-in-law; and her mother and brother sang duets in honor of the newly-weds. Valerie looked like a goddess in her sexy, yet elegant creation from Paris. And with the French from her dad's side, the Italian from her mom's and the Irish from Kevin's... it was truly and international wedding!
It's been a long time since I'd been with all my girls... but there we were, grinning from ear to ear and sharing in Kevin and Valerie's perfect day. Christine & Abe, Donna & Ben plus Terri and Smalls... dancing away the night and indulging in chocolate covered everything! Only to wake up the next morning and be fed again!
It was a beautiful ceremony. Val, we now know that you get your singing and music talent from your mom... but your sense of humor is definitely your dad's!
