Misa Edito:
Our nation's capital... Washington D.C. Another city... another Chinatown, but this one was by far the most impressive in terms of grandeur and location: center city! My friend, Andrew graciously put us up in his beautiful apartment... and took the roll of host to heart, as he played "tour-guide" to his city.
He led us on a walking tour of D.C. and we checked out the National Sculpture Garden, the Air & Space Museum, had lunch in the American Indian Museum and visited the Smithsonian American History Museum. Later that night, we got to experience comraderie of a local pub and see Penn State win the Orange Bowl. The following day was just enough time to visit the Capital Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool between, the WWII War Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, and the White House. Germain and I were time pressed to make it to the MCI center on time to catch the Washington Wizards V. the Houston Rockets game (Yao Ming was injured). We made it there, with time to spare... only to be disappointed as Tracy McGrady led the Rockets to a victory.
But all in all, we had a wonderful time. And a special thanks to Andrew, for his tour on foot and scooter. This time, I didn't hate D.C... I rather liked it! ;) And he introduced Germain to the excitement and fun of the college Bowls. Domō arigatō!! ^_^
