My family is a family who loves to laugh and joke around... and it being 3 years since the last family Christmas, this was never more true! Germain got to see us at our silliest and strangest... and yet he stayed! -guess he's a keeper! ;)
Christmas Eve we spent in the restaurant (
Robata of Tokyo)- the parents working, the children eating and enjoying themselves (isn't that the life?!) And later even my cousin, Ayako, and her husband, Steven, joined us from NYC. Christmas day my dad made an elaborate spread for brunch and as is tradition... we stayed in our jammies til late afternoon! Despite all the presents and all the festivites, Miki and Pat's baby, Angus, stole the show... and gave us his version of Gaelic football (movie).
Oh the holidays... what a lazy, fun time they were: staying up late... doing nothing but watching tv and eating anything you wanted... and sleeping where ever and whenever the thought occured to you. We even infected my active friend, Mandy who came for a few days to visit! All this sloth and gluttony... to be paid for in the new year :)
