Philadelphia: City of Brotherly Love... former capital of the United States. Since it is not far from where my parents live, and one of the bigger cities in
Pennsylvania, I took Germain to Philly. After the 24/7 energy of NYC, Philly proved to be quiet and restful. The cold took its toll on Germain and we spent the better part of Philly indoors. However, we did manage to do some holiday shopping... take in some of the historical sites (
Liberty Bell) and architecture (Independence Hall)... ... South Street where I used to hang out as a teenager... compare and contrast NYC Chinatown and Philly Chinatown... and of course feast on a world-famous cheese-steak! ^_^
